Originally constructed in 1894 as a Pabst Brewing warehouse, this five-story historic building is now home to Serif Apartments. The building includes 35 one- and two-bedroom market-rate apartments with commercial space on the street level.
Amenities include high-end kitchens, trash chutes, designer bathrooms, and quartz countertops, huge windows, and a fitness center. Indoor parking was added in a two-story addition to the west. Each unit seeks to preserve the building’s industrial past, while fully integrating it with the 21st-century’s technology and modernization.
A state-of-the-art climate control system for each unit manages cool air and heat, given 14-foot ceiling heights, to maintain comfortable living. Exposed historical brick at exterior walls, heavy timber structures at the ceiling, and historical wood floors mix charm of the past with a modern feel and amenities. The Serif revives this old warehouse as fresh, urban housing.
