A new affordable housing development was recently approved at 1887 Water Street, on Milwaukee’s East Side. Developer Brandon Rule of Rule Enterprises, partnered with Madison-based non-profit Movin’ Out will be bringing 79 new units into the neighborhood – 60 of the units will be designated for those making less than 60% of the area’s median income.
As part of Movin’ Out’s mission, 16 of units will provide housing for people with disabilities.
“In order to create a sustainable community you have to also have mixed incomes” said Rule.
