Senior Project Architect-Full Time
In Office
Location: Milwaukee, WI
About Continuum Architects + Planners:

At Continuum Architects + Planners, we design for the future with “intelligent optimism.” Since 1996, we’ve been delivering inspired spaces that enhance communities and elevate our clients. Our work spans higher education, historic renovations, multi-family housing, and urban development—blending innovation with functionality to leave a lasting impact.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Project Architect with at least 10 years of architectural experience and a proven track record of leadership managing and delivering large-scale projects as the team leader with construction costs between $6M and $10M.

This role is ideal for someone who is more than a task manager, a doer, problem-solver, and mentor with a fresh perspective. You will thrive on collaboration, lead cross-disciplinary efforts, and inspire others to deliver thoughtful, buildable, high-quality designs.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality and buildable solutions.
  • Map out project roadmaps, estimate efforts needed for the internal team, and manage team progress and delivery of key milestone tasks through construction documents.
  • Collaborate across disciplines, track project details, manage and coordinate all team members’ efforts, including internal/external consultants, MEP engineering teams, client consultants, owner’s representative, and contractors.
  • Engage as part of the team by actively drawing and designing, performing QA, and setting out courses of action to achieve project goals.
  • Bring deep technical knowledge and practical construction insights to ensure buildability of designs.
  • Foster a culture of leadership and mentorship, inspiring team members to grow and perform at their best.
  • Partner with clients to ensure their vision is realized while balancing project goals and constraints.
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and resources to consistently deliver on time and within scope.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A leader, not just a task-oriented person, someone who takes ownership, drives results, and inspires teams.
  • A doer, with a strong work ethic, high integrity, and a passion for design excellence.
  • Deep understanding of buildability with the ability to work seamlessly across disciplines.
  • Expertise in managing and coordinating internal teams and external consultants.
  • Proficiency in Revit and a portfolio showcasing innovative and technically sound projects.
Qualifications:
  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed architect preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse teams effectively.
  • Strong technical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of building codes and construction processes.
Why Join Continuum Architects?

At Continuum, you’ll be part of a close-knit team of visionaries and innovators who believe in the power of design to elevate communities. We offer opportunities to work on meaningful projects, ranging from historic renovations to multi-family housing and beyond, while fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
