Renovation of the Mackie Building, home to the historic Milwaukee Grain Exchange, features three upper floors floors of high-end market-rate apartments. Originally built in 1887, each unit takes advantage of unique floor plans to capitalize on scenic views of Milwaukee’s East Side Commercial Historic District. The remodeled second floor is home to The Daily Reporter’s offices; Milwaukee’s only publication for publicly-bid projects. The first floor features additional spaces for the Grain Exchange Event Center, including management offices, a bridal dressing suite, and public restrooms.
