SLINGER HOUSING DEVELOPMENT / Slinger, WI

This exercise in master-planning takes a look at three different ways to make use of an underutilized site in Slinger, Wisconsin. Continuum developed each scheme based on the site constraints and they range from having 120-180 units. Each scheme places emphasis on green space and exceeds the 55% required by the developer. The site uses retention ponds and lakes to manage stormwater and minimizes the amount of impermeable paving. The units would be a mix one- and two-bedroom units in “Type A” buildings and a mixed two- and 3-bedroom units in “Type B” buildings. Each type of building caters to the needs of the population of Slinger, with the larger units aimed at families, and smaller units aimed at young professionals.
