Tom Brown Village is an existing public housing apartment community in Birmingham, AL. The new masterplan transforms the 1960’s campus into a modern, mixed use, mixed income neighborhood that consists of low, medium, high density, and senior housing, creating a diverse community. Strategic demolition and phased construction will allow current residents in the 250 apartments to be relocated seamlessly into the new development. Commercial space and community green space is thoughtfully integrated into the design to sustain and nurture a thriving community.
