Robert Barr
Principal, AIA
Even at an early age, Bob knew he wanted to become an architect. School advisors convinced him to pursue engineering instead. After three years at UW-Milwaukee School of Engineering, he followed his instincts and transferred to UW-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning. He later become co-founder of Continuum Architects + Planners, where he now leads some of the firm’s most complex and highly technical projects for the State of Wisconsin, Milwaukee County, and private corporations.
For Bob, the work should speak for itself. At the heart of his philosophy is a refined approach to design, and impeccable project management and client relations. “If you cannot prove you can get the job done right, all the talk, extravagant design ideas, and technology will never be enough to earn you respect and trust”.
This philosophy has afforded Bob the trust of countless clients across various agencies and companies. He serves as the principal architect for highly specialized projects, including academic research laboratories, forensic science facilities, and medical facilities. His strong engineering and construction knowledge, and pragmatic approach to project management help navigate these complex projects to completion.
